The Safe Culture Project

After a school signs up for the program, staff from the Safe Culture Project provide the school with an in-service, collaborative planning session, a resource manual, and follow-through consulting. The program is tailored to the needs of each school community. The goal is to change the culture of bullying in a school to one that has dignity, safety, and support.

The process includes a 25-minute anonymous survey given to the students to complete, called the Inventory of Wrongful Activities (IOWA). Next, there is a training day for all staff and a chosen leadership group. This training will help design a project that fits the priorities and philosophy of the particular school. The training helps teach the skills and lessons from the Project Manual.
