BullySafe USA

BullySafe USA contains five elements that can be offered separately or in combination:

  1. Student empowerment sessions. Classroom discussions with students - K-8. The purpose of this structured dialogue is to gather the collective wisdom of students about bullying and empower them to make wise choices in their peer interactions.
  2. In-service trainings. Workshops for faculty, non teaching staff, and administrators can be presented in the format of full day, half day, or 1 hour-1 1/2 hour sessions, before or after school.
  3. Seminars for parents and community leaders. Presentation to engage parents with their children and to actively support school efforts to change the culture around peer abuse.
  4. Conference presentations. Keynote addresses and workshop presentations at community, state, and national conferences.
  5. Train the Trainer Institutes. A 3-day institute for school counselors, nurses, administrators, school resource officers, teachers, child advocates and community leaders. The purpose is to train participants to conduct student empowerment sessions, faculty and staff in-service workshops, and parent/community seminars.
