Process Evaluation: What Are We Doing?
A process evaluation of Cool After School would be used to ensure that the program was implemented as outlined in the grant application.
In current usage, the term "process evaluation" typically means studies of program implementation. It answers the question, Is the program implemented as intended? This can help identify strengths and weaknesses and attribute success to the program.
For example, Jack could ask:
- How many sessions did we have?
- How many children attended each session?
- How many parents attended meetings?
- What was the level of participant satisfaction?
