Research Questions

So, how do we tell if participating in Jack's prevention program affects alcohol and marijuana use? We want to see whether participants use alcohol and marijuana less than the comparison group at posttest. To do this, we must answer three questions:

  1. Is there a difference between the participant group and the comparison group at posttest regarding marijuana and alcohol use?
  2. Is that difference statistically significant?
  3. What does a statistically significant chi-square finding tell us?
