How To Choose a Course
The Courses page provides a description of each course offered and, if applicable, information regarding available Continuing Education Units (CEUs). A Compare Courses chart highlights some of the important aspects of each course using a table format.
How the Pages in a Course Work
This picture is an annotated example of a typical course page. The screen elements are numbered and described below.

- Signpost — Clicking the signpost takes you from the Online Courses site to CSAP's Prevention Pathways.

- Tabs — Each tab links to a major section of the Online Courses site.

- Sections — Each menu item links to a major section (called modules) of the individual course.

- Location — This area indicates the course title, module number, and page you are viewing.

- Module Contents — This drop-down list is used in each course. It allows you to jump to any page within the current module. It is organized by topics; subtopics are indented. To use, select the page to jump to and click the "Go" button. Note: You cannot move to another module by using this feature.

- Content — This area contains the page content.

- Pages — This navigation aid allows you to move from page-to-page within a module, just like turning the pages in a book.

Contact your professional organization to arrange for receipt of your CEU credits.
Note: CSAP does not pass course completion information to the student's professional organization.
How Quizzes Work
Quizzes appear at the end of most course modules. You may be prompted to select whether to take the quiz for "Credit" or "Non-Credit."
Anyone may take the courses and/or quizzes for "Non-Credit." However, in order to generate a certificate of completion for use in obtaining CEUs, you must be a registered user, logged in, and you must take the quizzes for "Credit."

If you are not already logged in and you select "Credit" you will be forwarded to the Login page. From there you can either Login, or you can Register as a new user. In courses that offer CEUs, you may be asked to choose to take a quiz for Credit or Non-Credit. For CEUs you must select "Credit."
How Multimedia Parts Work
Clicking a Multimedia button in a course allows you to listen to and/or see a short presentation highlighting certain course information. These Multimedia presentations are always supplementary and are not required to complete a course.
